Alan Henderson established Pinecrest Printery in 2014 after six years of growth and success as the founding partner of a national stationery company. He earned his degree in art education from the University of Kentucky and began his career as a graphic designer for a boutique advertising agency. In his youth, Alan developed a love of craft and patternmaking from his late grandmother, Mot, who owned a sewing shop in their hometown of Henderson, Kentucky. He named his studio after Mot’s farm, Pinecrest, painted across an old barn. Today, Alan prints all of his custom letterpress, engraving, and foil-stamped goods in his Winston-Salem, North Carolina studio for wedding invitations, stationery, business cards, and highly specialized jobs for agencies, event planners, and other designers.
